My Specialty

I wholeheartedly believe that I was placed here to disrupt the current narrative surrounding motherhood. As a survivor myself, I chose to dedicate much of my graduate career to researching maternal mental health. I was astounded to find that women often share very similar experiences, though they very very rarely feel safe enough to share what they’re going through. I truly am honored to work with women through issues that may continue to be unacknowledged and unhealed in society. My office is the place where we truly can discuss anything at all without judgement.

Common themes that I work with include:

  • a sense of pressure, coercion, or lack of autonomy regarding reproductive health

  • grieving former lives, identities, and relationships

  • maternal regret

  • postpartum anxiety and/or depression

  • medical trauma and/or grief surrounding the birthing experience

  • perfectionism in motherhood

A lot of my work emphasizes processing these experiences fully before empowering women to tune in and decide their own next steps. It is this reconnection to self and reclaiming of personal power that I find is most transformative and healing for struggling mothers.
